Business Intelligence (BI) software has been identified as an important alternative means to deliver web-based information products in a more cost effective and timely manner, particularly where complex processing of data is not required.
By obtaining BI software, the Bureau hopes to achieve efficiency in its ability to deliver information, greater effectiveness in the area of data analysis and improved useability for internal and external users and customers.
The required BI software must above all, enable the rapid development of elegant products capable of performing well under very high hit rates across Australia.
The Bureau currently expects that, following the conclusion of the REOI process, it will shortlist three or more respondents to participate in a Prequalified Tender process (RFT) to provide detailed tenders to provide the Services.
The Bureau will exclude an EOI from further consideration if the Bureau considers that the respondentdoes not comply with the following conditions:
a. the Respondent exists as a legal entity at the Closing Time;
b. Respondent confirms their compliance to the conditions set out in the request document by signing the declaration form contained in the EOI Response Forms; and
c. Respondent meets the Essential Requirements.
The anticipated Contract Period for the delivery, installation and maintenance of BI software is three years with two optional one year extension options.
The anticipated completion date for the delivery and installation stage of the Contract is on or before 30 November 2014 whereby the BI software solution should be fully commissioned.
