The National Portrait Gallery of Australia (NPGA) requires the services of a suitably qualified service provider for the provision of cleaning, hygiene and waste management services at its purpose built NPGA building, located within the Parliamentary Triangle on King Edward Terrace, Parkes, ACT 2600.

The NPGA is seeking to build a working relationship with the successful cleaning services provider for ongoing cleaning, hygiene, waste management and administration functions associated with the cleaning services package for the NPGA.

Key Performance Outcomes:

1. Maintain the cleaning and functionality of the listed NPGA assets in accordance with the service guides to ensure business continuity for the NPGA is achieved

2. Manage the cleaning program with effective application of routine cleaning and inspections

3. Manage the administrative components associated with the delivery of cleaning services to achieve continuity in staffing, and associated administration functions

4. Allow the NPGA to meet its statutory maintenance, and Work Health and Safety obligations.

The NPGA intends:

(a)  To evaluate Tenders and identify a one-off contract to obtain the required services; and

(b)  Award a contract for an initial term of three (3) years with options.

Site Inspection Tender Briefing:

A mandatory site inspection tender briefing limited to a maximum of two (2) people per tender will be held Thursday, 29 November, between 10.30am and 12.00pm.

Registrations are required, refer Request for Tender document, clause 2.1.

Failure to attend the site inspection will mean an inability for a tenderer to comply with a condition for participation in the tender process.

The NPGA is seeking to contract for an initial period of three (3) years. At the NPGA's discretion, the NPGA may extend the contract for a maximum of five (5) further periods of up to twelve (12) months per period. It is anticipated that the contract will have a maximum term of eight (8) years.

The NPGA anticipates that any contractual arrangement resulting from this RFT will commence in May 2019.
