The National Measurement Institute (NMI) continually develops new reference methods for chemical measurements and characterises reference materials to act as calibration standards.
This procurement is to acquire, install and commission a tandem mass spectrometer interfaced to a gas chromatograph (GC/MS/MS).This instrument will be used to measure organic chemicals in complex biological and environmental matrices.
Accordingly, the Department invites suitably qualified consultants/contractors to submit a tender for the supply, installation and delivery of the GC/MS/MS.
The tenderer and any subcontractors proposed in the tender must not be named as not complying with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Cth).
The tenderer confirms that in dealing with its employees and independent contractors, the tenderer has due regard to Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, comply with Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, including the obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth) and relevant work health and safety laws.
The tenderer and any subcontractors proposed in the tender are not insolvent, bankrupt, in liquidation, or under administration or receivership.
This is a one-off purchase of capital equipment to be delivered within the 2018-19 financial year.
