Our Organisation

The Authority is an independent statutory body established under the  to provide expert advice to the Australian Government on climate change policy.

The Authority plays an important role in the governance of Australia's climate change mitigation policies including by providing independent advice on:

·       the preparation of the Annual Climate Change Statement to Parliament; and

·       greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets to be included in new or adjusted nationally determined contributions (NDC).

The Authority also undertakes reviews and makes recommendations on:

·       the Carbon Farming Initiative (Emissions Reduction Fund),

·       the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting System, including the Safeguard Mechanism.

·       other matters as requested by the Minister responsible for climate change or the Australian Parliament.

The Authority conducts and commissions its own independent research and analysis.

 

The Annual Procurement Plan (APP)

 The Climate Change Authority has established arrangements (including exclusive and non-exclusive agreements as well as panel arrangements) for a wide range of property and services.  Proposed procurements through these arrangements are not included on the Annual Procurement Plan.

All open approaches to the market will be advertised on AusTender at http://www.tenders.gov.au.

Annual Procurement Plan View – Planned Procurement Status

To locate Planned Procurements with a specific status, use the drop down menu to select the status.

Each Planned Procurement has a status.  The status reflects where the Planned Procurement is in the planning or procurement lifecycle.  Planned Procurement statuses are: 

As published – unchanged since originally published

Amended – has been amended since published

To Market – converted to an ATM and has gone to the market

Withdrawn – has been withdrawn from the APP

Cancelled – has been cancelled by AusTender system administrators.  Cancelled Planned Procurements are removed from public view but are still visible to APP Publishers.
