Development of a training package and tools for Carbon Farming Outreach Program
The Department is seeking to engage a service provider to develop and deliver (via train-the-trainer services) a training package under the Australian Government’s Carbon Farming Outreach Program.
The training must be provided to recipients of Carbon Farming Outreach Program Grants and will be made available on the Department’s website. The training package must:
1. Support farmers and land managers to undertake baseline emission accounting.
2. Help farmers and land managers understand carbon markets and certification schemes.
3. Specifically address First Nations’ needs in carbon farming.
Suppliers will be required to perform an audit of existing tools and resources and consult with relevant stakeholders. The consultation and audit should inform the development of the training package to fill gaps in existing extension resources and inform priority areas beyond the life of this program.
Potential Suppliers may apply as an individual organisation, a partnership, or consortium.
Strong preference will be given to First Nations owned organisations that apply individually or in a partnership/consortium/sub-contract arrangements.
