The Space Activities Amendment (Launches and Returns) Act 2018 was introduced in August 2018, and will commence as the Space (Launches and Returns) Act 2018 (the amended Act) on 31 August 2019. The associated legislative instruments (rules) will provide rules for applications, insurance and fees, and high power rockets.

The contractor will review and refresh the Flight Safety Code (FSC) and the Maximum Probable Loss Methodology, and develop a calculator tool to estimate maximum probable loss.

The tenderer and any subcontractors proposed in the tender must not be named as not complying with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Cth).

The tenderer confirms that in dealing with its employees and independent contractors, the tenderer has due regard to Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, comply with Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, including the obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth) and relevant work health and safety laws.

The tenderer and any subcontractors proposed in the tender are not insolvent, bankrupt, in liquidation, or under administration or receivership.

The anticipated timeframe for the contract is six months, with one option to extend for a period of one month for the delivery and support of the calculator tool if required.
