Provision of Civil Maintenance services to war graves in Metropolitan North Sydney (Region 2)
The Office of Australian War Graves is part of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and is responsible for the official commemoration in perpetuity of those whose deaths have been attributed to their war service.
Those eligible veterans whose deaths have been accepted as war related are generally commemorated by means of an individual headstone, plaque at a grave site, in a Garden of Remembrance or at a crematorium. These commemorations are maintained in perpetuity by the Office of Australian War Graves.
The contractors will be expected to utilise OAWG asset data and information systems into work practices where possible and instructed. This data will allow for site and commemoration details to be available to the contractor and will also provide image capture and electronic maintenance recording for quality assurance and processing of payment for services. Adequate training will be provided as part of the induction contract mobilisation stage.
