Commonwealth Scholarships Program for South Australia
The Commonwealth Scholarships Program for South Australia (the Program) delivers on the Australian Government’s 2016 election commitment to provide up to $24 million over four years for up to 1200 Scholarships for undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational education and training (VET) students to undertake study in South Australia. The Scholarships include an Internship which provides Scholars with industry based work placements to link study to real jobs.
The Service consists of the performance of the following activities:
- development, coordination and management of Scholarship application rounds, including communications and promotional activities;

conducting Scholarship applicant eligibility checks and shortlisting of applications for the Department’s consideration;

communicating the Department’s decision in relation to successful and unsuccessful applicants, making Scholarship offers to successful applicants, and administering Scholarship Funding;

sourcing Host Employers for Internships in priority areas relevant to Scholars’ Approved Program of Study and coordinating Internships;

monitoring Scholar enrolments and progress;

monitoring and reporting on the Program implementation and Program outcomes; and

participating in Program evaluation.
