Rental Management Services
The position of the Executive Director of Township Leasing (Executive Director) has been established under the ALRA to hold long term leases over Aboriginal Land in the Northern Territory (NT) on behalf of the Australian Government. The Executive Director executes the head lease and then manages all subleases in accordance with his statutory responsibilities and within the terms and conditions of the lease.
The Executive Director of Township Leasing contracts a provider to provide rental management services and collect the rents derived from each of the township subleases.
The services include:

Invoicing and reconciliation of sublease payments

Maintaining a separate audited trust account on behalf of the Department to hold payments received

Maintaining records of sublease insurance renewals

Following up of arrears
-
CPI reviews
-
Producing reports as required
-
Other services as required.
The Rental Management Services contract is for a 2.5 year term from 1 January 2018 to 30 June 2020.
