The Government is committed to transforming Australia’s visa system and how it is delivered globally. Transformation will simplify and better align the Department’s global visa system with Australia’s long-term economic, national security and social priorities. The RFI - Delivering Visa Services for Australia — Assessments Against Visa Criteria, is the next step in the Australian Government’s long-term transformational change to our visa business.
The RFI seeks to explore the possible future approaches to market for visa criteria assessments and to further the Department’s understanding of the capabilities of the market to deliver high-quality, consistent and streamlined visa criteria assessments to inform the Department’s decision making. This will occur within the context of a broader program of transformation, which includes a new legislative framework for visas and enhancements to the Department’s risk and threat capabilities.
