General Building Maintenance and Ad Hoc Repairs at Kakadu National Park
The Director requires contractors to conduct General Maintenance and ad hoc repairs throughout KNP.
The tasks to be undertaken are varied and quite broad and works may be required to occur at any location throughout the park. Notwithstanding, works are mostly focussed in the following 3 types of facilities, namely:
- Staff Housing
- Camp Grounds
- Ranger Stations and Visitor Centres
N.B. It is expected that 95% of works will take place within 5km of a sealed road.
The Tenderer exists as a legal entity at the Closing Time (see paragraph 8.3).
The Tenderer should hold or demonstrate the ability to obtain, a Northern Territory Building Contractor Residential registration (Restricted or higher) and that a sufficient number of staff hold, or demonstrate the ability to obtain, Building Practitioner Building Contractor –Individual registrations. The Tenderer and/or their workers should hold, or demonstrate the ability to obtain, the appropriate High Risk Licences for the works required (including, but not limited to; Elevating work platform, Forklift, Pressure equipment, Scaffolding, Hoist etc), as well as ensure that their workers hold or demonstrate the ability to hold, a General Construction Induction card, such as an ‘NT White Card’ or equivalent.
