Renew Audiovisual Events Capability 2018-19

The purpose of this project is to address some key work health safety and business continuity risks that have been identified in the 50MC theatre. The project will seek to achieve the following key objectives:

remove and replace the curtain motors on the drapes covering the theatres external facing windows

relocation of the Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS)
-
installation of ceiling acoustic treatment above the stage area
-
installation of a riser and work bench in the theatre control room
-
re-location of the Carbonite Switcher Interface, a comms panel, the Graphics Generator Keyboard and Monitor and the Crestron Control Interface to the new work bench including all associated cabling
-
re-location of the DMX equipment rack
-
removal of the old VGA media distribution system
-
installation of a new HDMI media distribution system
-
removal of the old Cambotics System
-
installation of the new ROSS Robotics System
-
installation of any ‘GLUE’ componentry required to achieve the points listed above
-
projection system upgrade – video projector replacement, video lifter and video projection screen
-
KVM System replacement
-
Video Conference System replacement
-
Production SAN upgrade
GLUE componentry refers to items such as adaptors, convertors, scalers, cables, connectors etc. required to integrate these new systems into our current theatre setup.
All equipment to be supplied and installed will meet the SMPTE Broadcast Standards
