Employee Assistance Program

Since 1990, the Department has operated an Employee Assistance Program which assists employees resolve issues that may impact upon their ability to work effectively. The Department invites suitably qualified consultants/contractors to submit a tender to deliver and manage a confidential EAP which will assist employees in dealing with personal, family, work performance and personal quality of life issues.
1. The tenderer and any subcontractors proposed in the tender must not be named as not complying with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Cth).
2. The tenderer confirms that in dealing with its employees and independent contractors, the tenderer has due regard to Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, comply with Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, including the obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth) and relevant work health and safety laws.
3. The tenderer and any subcontractors proposed in the tender are not insolvent, bankrupt, in liquidation, or under administration or receivership.
The initial term of the contract will involve a two-month transition in period (if required) from 1 May 2017, with the full range of services to be provided from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2020. There will also be two extension options of a further 1 year each.
