The purpose of this procurement is to engage a suitable supplier to provide Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) with 10 replacement Audio Away Kits.

DPS expects the successful supplier(s) to support the following outcomes: 

  1. Design and provide a total of 10 complete audio kits containing the following functionality:

    • Audio recording;

    • Sound re-enforcement;

    • Storage and transmission of audio  recordings;

    •  Audio link back to APH; and

    •  Press split for media.

  2. Provision of spare parts (details will be determined based on the solution provided by the selected Tenderer).

  3. Significant weight savings.

    • A complete kit must not weight more than 74.0 Kg; and

    • Individually packaged cases must not weigh more than 17.5 Kg.

  4. Continued reliability and robustness of the audio facilities for interstate committees.

DPS will be conducting an industry briefing concerning the RFP. Details of the industry briefing are:

As this Industry Briefing will be conducted to provide potential respondents with the opportunity to gather further detail of the requirements and to view the current Away Kits, attendance at the industry briefing is mandatory for vendors wishing to provide a proposal.  

Vendors are to complete the Industry Briefing Registration Form included with this RFP via email to the Contact Officer no later than 2:00pm Friday 23 June 2017 setting out the names and contact details for all persons who will be attending. 

Attendees who have not been notified to the Contact Officer may be refused entry to the industry briefing.
