The Department of Industry, Innovation and Science (‘the Department’) requires a single service provider for preventative maintenance, security repairs, replacement, ad-hoc services and security monitoring at departmental sites nationwide under one unified contract. Services must meet each site’s unique requirements.

The aim is to consolidate the Department and its Business Entities’ preventative maintenance security-related monitoring and alarm costs under the one service provider and to better meet the Department’s security requirements. To ensure a safe and secure workplace environment for employees, contractors and visitors.

The tenderer proposed in the tender must not be named as not complying with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Cth).

The tenderer confirms that in dealing with its employees and independent contractors, the tenderer has due regard to Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, comply with Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, including the obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth) and relevant work health and safety laws.

The tenderer proposed in the tender are not insolvent, bankrupt, in liquidation, or under administration or receivership.
The Department will not consider offers that only deal with part of the Statement of Requirement.

The tenderer must have the capacity to operate in every state and territory in Australia for all areas listed in the Statement of Requirement. The tenderer must hold and maintain a Master Security Licence. Technicians attending any site listed in the Statement of Requirement must hold and maintain a security licence and have obtained accreditation certificates to work on the various EACS throughout the Department. Copies must be produced on request.

The anticipated timeframe for the contract is three years with two options to extend for a period of up to one year each.
