Land Clearing and Tank Demolition
The Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) invites suitably qualified contractors to tender for the provision of:
- civil design and land clearing services; and
- the demolition of two concrete saltwater storage tanks
at the Cape Cleveland site (50km south of Townsville).
The land area to be cleared is approximately 1 hectare and will enable the installation of a solar photo-voltaic (PV) system.
Two 455,000 litre concrete saltwater storage tanks have reached the end of their useful life and are required to be demolished.

A site inspection is scheduled for Tuesday 29 May 2018 at 2.00pm local time in Qld. Tenderers who wish to attend the inspection must send an email to tenders@aims.gov.au with contact details of participants to confirm attendance.
Respondents must direct any questions regarding the Request for Tender via email to tenders@aims.gov.au no later than 7 calendar days prior to the ATM closing time.
The Tenderer must at the time of submitting its Tender satisfy the condition for participation as follows:
- the Tenderer must not have had an adverse decision, direction or order made by a court or tribunal for a breach of the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016 (Cth), a designated building law, work health and safety law or competition and consumer law and failed to comply with the decision, direction or order.

Works are scheduled to commence in late June 2018.
