The approach to market is intended to be conducted through two stages. Initially, an open ITR will be issued in quarter 2 2018 to narrow down a shortlist of ITR respondents, followed by a formal Request For Tender (RFT) stage with the shortlisted ITR respondents. Defence at this stage anticipate signing a final contract for the delivery of the services by the end of 2018.

Description:

The objective of this notification is to provide advanced notice to industry of the upcoming Commonwealth approach to market for an Asset Class Prime Contractor (ACPC). The ACPC will be engaged as a long term partner to the Commonwealth in the stewardship of the LHD Asset Class for an initial period of up to 15 years. The LHD Asset Class specifically includes the 2 LHDs (HMAS Adelaide, HMAS Canberra), 12 LHD Landing Craft and associated shore support facilities at Garden Island Defence Precinct and Randwick Barracks.
