The Department of Defence requires the services of a suitably qualified and licensed Childcare Provider (the Contractor) to conduct a safe, secure and stimulating Vacation Childcare Program (the Program) during the ACT school holiday periods at a venue supplied by the Contractor.

Programs will be requested of the Contractor on an as required basis. The Commonwealth does not bind itself to arrange a Program during all official ACT school holiday periods. It is estimated that programs may be requested for approximately nine weeks per year, but this is intended as a guide only and is not to be relied upon by the tenderer.

The Contractor shall provide supervision for up to thirty children between the hours of 0800 to 1730 (8:00am-5:30pm) on each day. The children will be school children between five years and twelve years of age. The Program will be held at on offsite facility arranged by the Contractor and within a five (5) kilometre radius of Russell Offices, ACT. The offsite facility must be certified in accordance with current legislative requirements. Contracted services will only commence upon receipt of such certification.
