The works for R7096 - AIR7000 Phase 2B Maritime Patrol Aircraft Project for Forward Operating Bases - Package 4 – RAAF Base Pearce (WA) include;
-
Strengthening and extension of Runway 18L/36R, including strengthened threshold (North and South);
-
Provision of pre-threshold pavement including a turning node on Runway 18L resulting in a permanently displaced threshold to RWY 18L, and relocation of the localiser;
-
Compliance validation of Taxiways A1, A2, A3, B1 and B2 and as reduced Code C taxiways (as per TAS-RoD 06-14);
-
Strengthening of Taxiways A1, A2, A3, B1 and B2;
-
New Code D Apron to accommodate three Code D aircraft stands;
-
Strengthening and widening of the existing EOA 2 apron including access taxiways and GSE movement pavement;
-
A new aircraft rinse facility, based on a performance specification, to accommodate one aircraft (P-8A Poseidon, C-130J Hercules, or C-27J Spartan or P-3C Orion aircraft), including access taxiway, rinse pavements and shoulders;

Vehicle access road (to ATC and ALER) to replace existing road which is obliterated by the works; and
-
The works to be constructed include, but are not limited to:

Flexible and rigid pavements;

Aeronautical Ground Lighting;
-
Infrastructure to enable the re-installation of Navigational Aids;

Infrastructure to enable the re-installation of a net arrestor;
-
Below ground services and infrastructure including high voltage;
-
Above ground services and infrastructure including high voltage;
-
Airside fence and road relocation;
-
Demolition; and
New buildings.

Building Code 2016
The Building Code 2016applies. If the Building Code 2016 applies then by lodging a Registration of Interest, the Applicant will become subject to the Building Code 2016.

WHS Accreditation Scheme
The WHS Accreditation Scheme pursuant to the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016 (Cth) applies. Further information regarding the WHS Accreditation Scheme is provided in the Invitation to Register Interest.
