A participating organisation will be required to do the following:

- Implement into their software the technical capabilities specified in the Agency-authored specification “Provider Directory Service & Message Payload Implementation Guide”:

o The technical capabilities required to be implemented in an ACIS are summarised in table A.1 in Appendix A;

o The technical capabilities required to be implemented in an ASMS are summarised in table A.2 in Appendix A.

- Implement into their software the technical capabilities specified in the Agency-authored specification “Single National Authentication Service for Health (NASH) PKI Certificate – Implementation Guide for Software Vendors”.

- Successfully complete the software validation process specified in the Agency-authored document “Secure Messaging Industry Offer – Software Validation Process”.

- Issue a general release of an enhanced version of their software containing the specified technical capabilities by 15 May 2020, or such other date as may be agreed with the Agency. As part of this release, the participating organisation must make a public announcement, either on its website or via some other means agreed with the Agency, noting the availability of this enhanced version of the software and the inclusion of enhanced secure messaging capability.

:

The Agency will conduct a webinar on 4 April 2019 to discuss the requirements of this offer and answer questions from prospective participants. The details of this webinar will be published on the Agency website. (www.digitalhealth.gov.au)

:

Expressions of interest (EOIs) are sought from organisations that:

- are the developer of an ACIS and/or an ASMS;

- as of 1 March 2019 have an ACIS and/or ASMS installed and being used in production for messaging purposes in at least two healthcare provider sites in Australia; and

- are not a state or territory health department.

The fact that an organisation has participated in one or both of the consortia, led by Telstra Health and HealthLink respectively, that delivered the secure messaging proof-of-concept projects orchestrated by the Agency, will not render that organisation ineligible to participate in this offer.
