Materials to assist in communicating the enHealth Guidance Statement on per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)
The Department of Health is seeking to engage a suitable Supplier to develop risk communication materials to support the communication of a revised Environmental Health Standing Committee (enHealth) Guidance Statement on PFAS expected to be published in the first half of 2019. At a minimum, the risk communication materials will need to explain:
• in plain English, the messaging behind the updated enHealth Guidance Statements (2019), to ensure it can be easily understood by a range of audiences
• the current evidence on the potential health effects associated with PFAS exposure
• the Health Based Guidance Values for PFAS and central concepts
• enHealth’s position on blood testing for PFAS
The successful Supplier will develop the risk communication materials in consultation with and as directed by enHealth, as well as through on-going consultations with other key stakeholders, including the public communication materials for a range of audiences.
