Prospective tenderers are advised that the Commonwealth of Australia, as represented by the Department of Education and Training (department), has released an open market RFT that invites Tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that wish to become members of a refreshable panel of providers delivering Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) skills assessment services for the Temporary Skills Shortage (TSS) Program, Offshore Skills Assessment Program (OSAP), and Trades Recognition Service (TRS).
This procurement is being undertaken by the department for TRA, which is a business unit within the department and a relevant assessing authority under the Migration Regulations 1994. The role of TRA is to provide skills assessments predominantly for applicants seeking to migrate to Australia across multiple trade sectors. RTOs assist TRA with the provision of these services.
The RFT will seek tenders from RTOs with suitable assessment expertise and appropriately equipped facilities, in Australia and overseas, to undertake an assessment of an applicant’s skills, work experience and education qualifications.
Successful tenderers will provide specialist advice and recommendations to inform and support TRA decision making including recommendations regarding each applicant’s claims against TRA assessment and evidence standards
The Tenderer must exist as a legal entity at the Closing Date and Time
The Tenderer must hold current registration as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) at the Closing Date and Time.
