This is a pre-release notice of an upcoming Defence tender activity to be conducted as a two-stage procurement. Following the Request for Proposal (RFP) process the Commonwealth intends to conduct a Request for Tender inviting submissions from shortlisted respondents of the RFP to procure the requirement described in a Statement of Requirement.

Description:

The Commonwealth seeks proposals from industry to engage in a commercial arrangement for the provision of Marine Diesel Fuel (MDF) supply and services in Cairns, Queensland. Under such arrangement, the Commonwealth would grant a commercial entity the right to use the Nominated Area for its commercial benefit subject to the terms of the Contract including ongoing obligations to the Commonwealth of management, operation and maintenance.

Other Instructions:

The intended release, by the Fuel Services Branch, of the RFP for the commercialisation of the Defence Fuel Installation at HMAS Cairns has been delayed to enable the Commonwealth to qualify Land Use Restrictions which may impact the procurement. It is anticipated the matter will be resolved in the near term enabling the release of Request for Proposal (RFP) by end August 2018.
