NexGen Forecast and Warning System - Integrated Data Visualisation System

The NexGenFWS IDV tender aims to acquire and deploy an integrated visualisation system to support the operational forecaster in viewing weather data. The software will replace the suite of legacy visualisation tools that are in current use by the Bureau. The IDV software will be used to view numerical weather prediction model data, satellite imagery, radar data and surface-based observations. The software will support image overlays and will support the forecaster to further develop meteorological display techniques.

Tenderer must not be on the list of persons and entities designated as terrorists under Part 4 of the Charter of the United Nations Act 1945 and the Charter of United Nations (Terrorism and Dealing with Assets) Regulations 2002; and c. Tenderer complies with 'Conflict of Interest' (see paragraph 6.2) and 'Ethical Behaviour' (see paragraph 6.1) of the Conditions of Participation in the Request for Tender (RFT). d. All mandatory functional requirements must be in current operations in a national meteorological service comparable to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology. e. Tender responses must be from the software vendor direct, the Bureau will not accept responses from software resellers or agents. f. the Tenderer exists as a legal entity at the Closing Time.
