Norfolk I'lnd Gov't House Event &Housekeeping
The services are to be delivered to a standard in accordance with the protocols applicable to the position of the Administrator of Norfolk Island as well as regulatory and management frameworks relevant to KAVHA. The service provider will be required to:
Plan, coordinate and deliver the full range of ceremonial, public, formal, informal and administrative events and meetings held at Norfolk Island Government House.
Plan, coordinate and supervise the work of the Housekeeping Assistant.
Government House was constructed in 1828-9 during the island's second penal settlement period. It is a component of the World Heritage Listed Australian Convict Sites Kingston and Arthur's Vale Historic Area (KAVHA) and is also listed in the Australian National Heritage List, the Australian Commonwealth Heritage List, the Norfolk Island Heritage Register and by the National Trust Australia. As such it requires a high and constant level of care and maintenance. Similarly, events held there must be professionally coordinated and delivered. All activities carried out within the house must be carried out in a manner respectful of the building's heritage values and the KAVHA Heritage Management Plan (Godden Mackay Logan 2016).
