Defence plans to undertake one or more market approaches in 2021 and/or 2022. Unlike this RFI, later market approach(es) will be used to further refine the solution, as well as down select vendors, where required.

Description:

There is a transformative opportunity to fundamentally reset how, when and where work is done in Defence. With mobile technology revolutionising ways of working across industries and governments, Defence can leverage this technology to untether its workforce from fixed ICT and uplift and expand on its currently limited and disparate mobile solutions to enable seamless mobile workflows.

Accessing the right information at the time needed while on the move is crucial for Defence personnel now more than ever; the management and integration of Defence data sources is pivotal in supporting military and business outcomes and decision making.

To create a more flexible and productive work environment, Defence need to establish an enterprise mobility capability to provide a number of key foundational elements and support Defence personnel to work the way they live.

ICT2203 Mobility and Digitisation Project will help establish the foundational enterprise mobility capability up to the Protected information domain across the fixed and deployed environments, aligning with current and future mobility initiatives and ICT strategic direction.
