Monitoring trends in drug use among the offender population is of great importance to law enforcement and policy makers, as illicit drug use has direct and indirect links to criminal activity. The DUMA program is designed to provide an effective monitoring system that focuses specifically on offenders with a clear mandate to address the issue of drugs and crime. The DUMA program is a partnership between the Customer and state government and police services. DUMA provides an unparalleled source of information on illicit drug use and the link between drugs and crime.
