Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) GovAI Future Expansion Opportunities

The Commonwealth of Australia, as represented by the Department of Finance (Finance), is seeking information from industry through this Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) to inform potential future expansion opportunities for the GovAI program. GovAI is a whole-of-government artificial intelligence service intended to support the safe, secure and responsible adoption of AI across the Australian Public Service.
This REOI relates to future GovAI expansion opportunities, including GovAI Chat and related AI tools, platforms, services and capabilities that may support the continued development of shared AI services across government. Finance is seeking to better understand available market capability, potential products and services, emerging opportunities, delivery options and indicative commercial approaches relevant to any future stages of the GovAI program.
This REOI is Stage 1 of an intended multi-stage procurement process. Information received may be used to inform future procurement processes and to identify entities that may be invited to participate in any future stages. This REOI does not commit the Commonwealth to any procurement outcome, contract, proof of concept activity or future stage.
An industry briefing is planned to be held virtually online, with the date and time to be confirmed. The briefing is expected to occur approximately one week after publication of this REOI.
