Replacement UPS and Associated Electrical Works

The present Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) that the NFSA's Digital and Media Operations (DaMO) use is at the end of life and is to be replaced.
The original unit was installed 22 years ago, primarily to protect NFSA audio digitisation and telecine facilities. Since this time the needs of DaMO have changed and with them the requirements the UPS.
A number of Power Conditioners also exist, and a decision was made to replace them as well and move the load supported by the load conditioners to a new larger UPS. The UPS has been sized to cater for the load taking into existing diversity leaving approximately 25% estimated spare capacity.
A second site inspection will be held at NFSA's Headquarters in Acton ACT on 11 June 2019 at 9:00am.
