Further to the AusTender notification dated 26 February. The update is regarding Defence’s approach to establishing a long term relationship with an Australian University to provide academic and related services to the Australian War College within the Australian Defence College.
The plan remains to issue an open Request for Tender (RFT) in mid-July 2020 with an anticipated open period of three months. The RFT will be released and managed via AusTender, the Australian Government’s procurement system and will be supported by an industry briefing shortly after the release of the RFT. Dependent upon social distancing and travel requirements at the time, the industry briefing may be conducted on-site at the Australian Defence College at Weston (ACT), remotely using online arrangements including a virtual tour of the campus or a combination of both. We expect to be able to confirm the location and means for conduct of the industry briefing by early June 2020. The brief will be an opportunity to engage with key members of the Australian War College. It will provide important context regarding the current activities of Australian Defence College and the Commonwealth’s intention for future academic arrangements at the Weston campus.
All information pertaining to the pending RFT will be made publicly available on AusTender. To register on AusTender access the following link: https://tenders.gov.au/ATM and enter ‘New User Registration’ and complete details as required.
Considering the impacts related to COVID-19; we invite you to flag your institution’s interest in this procurement. We also welcome your advice regarding the feasibility of the planned three month tender period and your institution’s ability to attend an industry briefing session physically or remotely in late July 2020.
