Midrange and Data Centre Services

As part of the Australian Taxation Office’s IT Strategic Sourcing Program, which contains multiple bundles of work, the ATO is seeking the provision of Midrange and Data Centre Services.
This RFT includes three (3) Separable Portions as follows:
i. Separable Portion 1- Midrange and Data Centre Services as a whole. (This includes Midrange and Storage Platforms + DCNM + DCSS) or;
ii. Separable Portion 2 – Data Centre Network Manager (DCNM); and / or
iii. Separable Portion 3 – Data Centre Support Services (DCSS).
The MIDC Services include:
• Midrange Services for virtual and physical platforms, including Converged-Infrastructure, that together provide Capacity for Application workloads.
• Storage Services delivers a set of platforms including block, file, object and backup that provides storage for ATO data across all platforms.
• Data Centre Network Services managing Connectivity in and between the ATO data centres.
• Data Centre Support Services provide onsite support services for Infrastructure in the ATO data centres.

The ATO will be holding a virtual Industry Briefing for this RFT – SPC 7667 MIDC in conjunction with RFT – SPC 7668 for Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) on the 21 of September, 9:00am to 11:30am (ACT time).
In relation to the Industry Briefing:
• Attendance is not compulsory or a Condition of Response to the RFT, however, interested parties are encouraged to attend.
• Interested parties must pre-register their interest in attending the RFT Industry Briefing. After registration, a password will be provided for attendance at the webinar.
• The RFT Industry Briefing details are as detailed below:
- To be held 9:00am to 11:30am (local time in Canberra) on Wednesday 21 September 2022.

The ATO proposes to enter into a Contract with the successful tenderer by July 2023 for an initial contract period of 3 years with additional 3+2+2 years option terms.
