Description:

The Royal Australia Air Force (RAAF) operates the Elementary Flying Training School (EFTS) which provides training and flying experience to RAAF Cadets at several ADF bases around Australia. The EFTS operates its own aircraft at RAAF Bases Point Cook (Victoria), Richmond (NSW) and Amberley (Queensland). EFTS operates Diamond DA40NG aircraft which use either commercial Jet-A1 or Military F-34 Aviation Turbine Fuel (Avtur). Currently, there is no feasible refueling capability at these three bases, which is suitable for EFTS aircraft.
