Pacific Engagement Visa Support Project
Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Darwin, Hobart
Increased migration to Australia will grow the domestic Pacific and Timor-Leste diaspora and strengthen country to country ties, contribute to home economies through remittances and investments, provide opportunities for skills exchange, and support wider mobility within the region.
The Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) will create a new program for migrants from the Pacific and Timor-Leste to settle in Australia, including for low and semi-skilled workers. The PEV program will commence in July 2023. Each year up to 3,000 PEVs will be available (this number includes an eligible spouse and legal dependents included in an application).
The primary services the contractor will provide to support the PEV program include:
· education and marketing services to prepare applicants and ensure realistic expectations about the process and life in Australia
· connecting PEV applicants with Australian employers to facilitate suitable job offers.
