The aim of the Project is to meet the short term needs of the WRC, bring service infrastructure into compliance with Defence standards and to provide infrastructure and facilities sufficient to support the WRC 2030 Projected Personnel and 2040 Operations Tempo.

The main works will mostly involve:

• Electrical infrastructure works – switching station and substation, interconnectors, replacement of secondary networks and provision of Local Emergency Generators.

• Hydraulic infrastructure works – potable water, stormwater, wastewater and firefighting water.

• ICT infrastructure works.

• Fuel infrastructure works.

• Provision of HQ and Command facilities.

• Airside Movement and Ordnance Loading areas and landside roads.

• Trials hangars and support facilities.

• Airfield technical support – hydraulic and firefighting infrastructure.

• Demolition of Camp Rapier and provision of a new 150 Person Camp.

• Refurbishment of existing, and provision of new Living in Accommodation.

• Provision of new recreation and community services facilities.

• Erosion and sediment control measures.
