EST02044 Berrimah Redevelopment Project Market Sounding

Defence is currently in the planning process of the Defence Esatblishment Berrimah Redevelopment project.
As part of planning Defence is seeking input from the construction services sector, particularly in the Northern Territory, about its proposed delivery methodology and the capability and capacity of industry to supply design and construction services in the relevant work packages and seeking additional advice from this sector.
The project is subject to Government approval.
A summary of the proposed project scope at the time of this market sounding may be as follows:Base wide upgrade of in-ground;
a) Infrastructure;
i. electrical network,
ii. potable water network (separate from fire water network),
iii. fire water network,
iv. sewer network,
v. stormwater network, and
vi. ICT networks.
b) Internal road network improvements and upgrades.
c) A new Base entry precinct including new Pass Office.
d) Construction of a multi-story office and working accommodation building.
e) Construction of three deployable Precincts including hardstands, messing, ablutions and grassed/recreational area.
Government approval of the project is planned for Quarter 4 2024.
Construction services are expected to be delivered from late 2024 to late 2027.
Defence is offering companies interested in performing the role of Head Contractor, Medium Work Contractor or Design Service Consultant as set out in the “Market Sounding Document” the opportunity to receive further details about the project and proposed delivery methodology at a “Market Sounding Briefing” prior to providing a response (at an entity’s complete discretion) in the format as set out in the document.

The “Market Sounding Document” is attached on AusTender (under ‘Go to ATM documents’). This document includes instructions for the submission of responses.
Attendance by Companies at the Market Sounding Briefing is to be strictly limited to not more than two (2) people.
Attendance must be pre registered with Defence via email exchange to the Project Manager / Contract Administrator – Jacobs Group (Australia) Pty Ltd representative at Berrimah.Redevelopment@jacobs.com
Registrants must provide the Name, Company and e-mail address of all proposed attendees.
Attendees must register by [1700hrs (ACST)] Saturday 9 of September 2023.
