AIR6002 PH1 - Future Lead-In Fighter Training System (LIFTS) Request for Information (RFI)
The Commonwealth issues this Request for Information in relation to AIR 6002 PH1 – Future Lead-In Fighter Training System (LIFTS). The Defence White Paper 2016 directs that Defence develop a force to meet the strategic objectives to deter, deny and defeat attacks or threats to Australia. The Hawk 127 - along with its full mission simulators and support systems – is key to this capability in that it prepares aircrew to undergo conversion training on frontline fast jet aircraft, while also supporting the ADF on various training and public relations initiatives. This RFI seeks to ensure the continuity of this capability by canvasing industry for future LIFTS options.
Please note that the information being sought by this RFI has been identified by Defence as important for planning purposes, and to inform Defence decision making, in relation to AIR 6002 PH1. Defence wishes to ensure that this planning and decision making occurs with the full benefit of information provided by your organisation.
