RFP for a Speech to Text Solution
The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) is Australia's national criminal intelligence agency. We work with our law enforcement partners to improve the national ability to respond to crime impacting Australia. The ACIC achieves its goals by employing a range of capabilities including the use of coercive powers.
The ACIC’s coercive powers, similar to a Royal Commission, are used in special operations and special investigations to obtain information where the Board of the ACIC determines that it is in the public interest to do so. Our coercive powers authorise our examiners to compel people to give evidence for the purposes of special ACIC operations or investigations. Hearings or ‘Examinations’ are held in private and are transcribed for the intelligence purposes of the agency. Hearings are held under controlled, court room type conditions, with minimal speakers and all speakers captured via individual microphones, as well as audio and video recording of high quality.
