Description:

Airservices is seeking expression of interests from potential suppliers for the provision of Tower Met Display systems (TWRMET) across seven air traffic control towers ; the six Metro D Towers and one Aerodrome Flight Information Service (AFIS), as part of Operations Transformation Program.

The current Tower Met display system is used to provide air traffic controllers with meteorological information (wind speed, wind direction, dry bulb /wet bulb temperature, QNH) needed to assist with controlling air traffic at and in the immediate vicinity of an aerodrome. This includes issuing advice on runway threshold winds and in selection of operational runways. The functional requirements for Tower Met systems are partly derived from ICAO Annex 3 and CASA Manual of Services (MoS) Part 172.
