Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse Repaint
AMSA is seeking a turnkey solution from a Contractor to undertake the repaint and associated repair works to the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse
The scope of works for this project includes:
• Repaint of all internal and external surfaces of the lighthouse
• Repair and repointing of stone work
• Repair of internal accessways
• Inspection and repair of corrosion to the lantern room
• Reglazing of the lantern room
• Replacement of the oil store/battery room Colorbond roof, gutter and flashing
• Establishment of a temporary AtoN
• Servicing/cleaning of the lens mercury pedestal
• Coordination of works with third party license holders
• Ancillary Works
A mandatory site visit to Cape Leeuwin lighthouse is scheduled for Thursday 6 May 2021. The tender site visit is limited to a maximum of 2 people per tenderer. Each person attending the tender site visit will be required to provide a COVID declaration prior to attending.
Tenderers must meet the following conditions for participation in this ATM:
• The Tenderer must hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) or an Australian Registered Body Number (ARBN)
• The Tenderer or their designated sub-contractor must hold accreditation under the Painting Contractor Certification Program to Category A – Classes 3 and 5A
• The Tenderer must have business management systems certified as compliant with:
• AS/NZS ISO 9001
• AS/NZS 4801
• AS/NZS ISO 14001
• The Tenderer must attend the mandatory site visit
• Any Tender which does not comply with all the conditions for participation set out in this clause 2.5 will be excluded from consideration.
AMSA’s preference is for the site works to commence as soon as possible post award of a contract and finalisation of the heritage approval. AMSA anticipates a contract to be awarded and heritage approval to be finalised approximately 15 June 2021.
The site works must be completed by 30 November 21.
NOTE: If the tenderer does not believe that this can be achieved, then Tenderers must advise this within their response.
