UHF Portable Radios
The RFI invites respondents to provide information on product solutions, indicative costings and potential suppliers to meet the requirements and facilitates an opportunity for industry to brief the Department on innovative options to achieve the project outcomes. The ultimate aim is for the Department to be an informed buyer for any further approaches to industry.
The Department will use information from respondents to assess relevant and emerging technologies that could influence development of capability requirements for delivery of UHF Portable radios.
The issuing of this RFI is not a pre-condition to any future procurement process, but enables the project to progress through further capability development with an informed understanding of current technology options. The sole purpose of this RFI is to obtain information in connection with UHF Portable Radio capabilities, it is not a procurement and does not form part of any Department or Commonwealth procurement process.
The response requirements are at Annex A to this RFI. Respondents may submit a response to any or all of the requirements as appropriate. There is no imperative to provide a response to each requirement, nor will it be detrimental to respondents in any subsequent approach to market should they decide to submit a partial or not response to this RFI.
