Provision of Tax Technical Legal Services

The Commonwealth of Australia, represented by the ATO, is conducting an open approach to market to establish a specialised Tax Technical Panel for the provisions of tax technical legal services.
A non-mandatory industry briefing will be held at 11:00-11:45am (AEDT) on 19 December 2019. To register, Tenderer has to email Yingying.Chen@ato.gov.au the name and the email address of the attendee(s) by 12 noon (AEDT) 18 December 2019. A maximum of two attendees are allowed per company.
(a) the Tenderer must agree to enter into a Deed of Standing Offer with the Commonwealth on the terms and conditions at Attachment C – Deed of Standing Offer;
(b) the Tenderer must be a legal practitioner or practice, engaging in practice in Australia that complies with all applicable State or Territory Laws governing the legal profession, and is subject to the relevant State or Territory law society; and
(c) where the Tenderer is a member of a limitation of liability scheme through a State or Territory law society or similar, it must have a liability cap for an amount not less than $10 million.
It is anticipated that the Legal Services will commence mid 2020 and expire on 30 June 2022. The Deed of Standing Offer Period may be extended by the ATO, at its sole discretion, by two periods of one year each.
