The Commonwealth funds the Insulin Pump Program (IPP) to supply fully subsidised insulin pumps to eligible children and young adults under the age of 21 years who have type 1 diabetes and are from low-income families who do not have access to other means of reimbursement, such as private health insurance.
This approach to market seeks to establish a panel of insulin pump suppliers from which individual participants can select the most suitable insulin pump for their circumstance.
