Provision of Research and Development Services to develop a Physical Safety Standard
Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Darwin, Hobart
Airservices Australia intends to procure a suitably capable and experienced Contractor to develop a Physical Safety Standard (Standard) for its Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Service (ARFFS).
Airservices seeks to achieve the following in relation to the Standard:
a. provide Airservices a clear and understandable Standard that can be applied to its ARFFS employees;
b. be legally defensible whereby its standards and levels have been developed through proven scientific research and data attainment that it will withstand legal challenge;
c. be valid and relevant to ARFFS duties and operations and cover required equipment and processes used by ARFFS employees; and
d. be flexible and agile to enable Airservices to add/remove equipment standards as equipment, process’ and/or legislation changes occur.

Airservices requests that Respondents notify whether they intend to respond to this RFP within 10 Business Days of the RFP Release Date. Please note this is not a mandatory requirement.
