Global Freight Forwarding and Custom Clearance Services Industry Questionnaire
As per the Defence Annual Procurement Plan (APP), the Commonwealth advised of a 12 month delay to release of a single-stage Open tender approach to market for the provision of Global Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearance Services to the ADF (JLC20-001) from a single prime contractor.
To inform future planning and procurement activities, the Commonwealth are seeking responses from industry to a Global Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearance Services Industry Questionnaire which seeks information in relation to the current global freight forwarding environment (international air and ocean freight forwarding).
Respondents should note that while all information provided that is compliant with the Conditions of Participation will be considered, the Industry Questionnaire does not itself constitute a procurement process, however, the feedback may be used by the Commonwealth to inform in-part the future direction for its Global Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearance Contract, and any subsequent approach to market.
To participate in the Industry Questionnaire, respondents must:
(i) submit an answer to Question 1 in Part 2 by completing the Respondents Details table in full;
(ii) submit an answer to Questions 2 through to 9 in Part 2;
(iii) submit responses in Part 2 that are succinct, accurate, complete, current and not misleading; and
(iv) comply with all specified page limits for each question answered.

Responses are to be lodged on or before 12.00 pm (ACT Local time) on Monday, 23 February 2021 (the 'Response Closing Time') at jlc.global.freight.tender@defence.gov.au (the 'Response Address').
