Indigenous Business Verification and Support Services
The NIAA is seeking the provision of a national, independent Indigenous business verification service and related functions (Services) to support the implementation of Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP) reforms. The objectives are to:
- support the Commonwealth Government’s efforts to increase participation of genuine Indigenous business in Commonwealth procurement;
- provide the Commonwealth Government and the public with access to accurate, up-to-date and trusted information on Indigenous Enterprises against the Commonwealth Government’s IPP eligibility criteria;
- support integrity, transparency and fairness in the application of the strengthened IPP eligibility criteria; and
- work collaboratively with the NIAA to support stakeholders transition from the original IPP eligibility criteria to the strengthened criteria.
An Industry Briefing will be held on Thursday 20 August 2026 at 10:30am. Registration for the briefing is required: Tenderers must provide a completed Deed of Confidentiality and individual deed polls of relevant personnel (Attachment E) to the Contact Officer at IPPtenders@niaa.gov.au by 2pm Tuesday 18 August 2026 (AEST) to attend the Industry Briefing. Deeds of Confidentiality received after this time may not be accepted by NIAA. Attendance at the industry briefing is not compulsory.
The NIAA will make further information available to Tenderers who register for access to the Data Room by providing a signed Deed of Confidentiality (Attachment E) (and individual deed polls) to the Contact Officer at IPPtenders@niaa.gov.au
