Description:

The purpose of the works to be performed by the contractor are for the design development of new road systems and drainage, new cycle paths, new crab barriers along the roadside and crab bridges on Christmas Island. A key part of the project is the design and development of a prototype for the crab barrier system to manage crab movements during their migration period. Design hold points will be at 30% Concept Design, 50% Schematic Design (for the crab barrier prototype) and 90% Detailed Design.
