Description:

The North West Island aid to navigation (AtoN) is located approximately 75nm northwest of Dampier, WA. The AtoN consists of an approximately 4m tall fibreglass hut with concrete helipad located nearby.

The concrete helipad has suffered from reinforcement corrosion and has significant cracking and spalling.

AMSA now proposes to remove the existing helipad and install a new helipad incorporating a walkway to the fibreglass hut and the solar array.
