This procurement seeks to engage the services of a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for the delivery of training, commencing 01 January 2020 for an initial term for five (5) years until 01 January 2025, with two (2) extension options, each for a period of two years, to be exercised at the Commonwealth’s discretion. The selected Service Provider will deliver nationally accredited vocational training to military students, with the outcome being the award of qualifications by the RTO.

This procurement of training services from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) is to provide training services for the Academic Phase of the Aviation Artificers Course for Army & Navy.

The preferred training Service Provider will be required to design, develop and deliver the academic phase of the Artificer course to selected Army and Navy trainees, in order to provide Aircraft and Avionics Sergeants with an academic qualification. This will allow the trainees to be eligible as para-professional aviation maintenance engineers for employment within Army and Navy Aviation areas, in accordance with both Army Employment Specifications and Navy Technical Sailor Duty Statements.

Defence requires the ongoing provision of training services based upon the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). The academic phase curriculum of the Artificers course (Subject 4 Warrant Officer) will be delivered at the Diploma level (AQTF Level 5) for selected Army personnel and at the Advanced Diploma level (AQTF Level 6) for Navy personnel.
