Expressions of Interest are invited for the provision of leased office accommodation for a Federal Government Department within the Melbourne Airport Precinct or within ten kilometres of the International Terminal. Requirements are as follows:
~ House approximately 100 departmental staff with significant operational areas including, but not limited to:
• Operation/Secure Compliance rooms
• Testing rooms
• Examination Rooms
• Armoury
• Secure storage for detained goods, with requirement for large vehicle/truck access.
• Client Services functions (meeting and conference rooms, and secure counter areas)
• Secure car parking for operational vehicles, including large vehicle/trucks, located within premises (up to 22), as well as additional parking for staff and visitors.
2,300 – 3,200sqm required for Office and Ancillary
~Initial lease term of 10 years with options.
~The offered site must be compliant with all standard Commonwealth building requirements.
~Minimum 5 star NABERS ratings
~The offered site must include a Green Lease Schedule A or B and meet or exceed Green Lease requirements.
In addition, occupancy is preferred to be the sole occupant.
Responses must be submitted via the AusTender website but the closing time, as no other method of submission will be accepted.
The Australian Government Building and Construction WHS Accreditation Scheme established by the Fair Work (Building Industry) Act 2013 (Cth) (Scheme) may also apply to the project. If the Scheme applies, it is a requirement of this project that persons contracted to carry out the building work must be accredited under the Scheme at the time of entering into the contract for the building work and while the building work is being carried out. Further information about the Scheme and whether it applies to the project is included in the Project Documents. The offered site must be compliant with all standard Commonwealth building requirements including (without limitation) the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth), Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth) and Work, Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth).
