The Australian Insitute of Marine Science (AIMS) is an internationally renowned, world leader in the science and engineering underpinning sustainable development, conservation and management of tropical marine environments. Our main research facility is located at Cape Cleveland, 50km from Townsville, with facilites also in Perth, WA and Darwin, NT.

AIMS Cape Cleveland hosts ReefWorks - Australia's Tropical Marine Technology Test Range. Reef Works' mission is to propel Australian marine technology innovation into a sustainable, soverign market sector, servicing Australia's marine activities in the tropical environment.
